At an altitude of 4065m, Pikey Peak (Wonderful 11 Days Pikey Peak Trek ) trek is the latest opened short trek in the Everest Region. At the highest point of the Pikey Peak trek, you will be able to see some of the world’s highest peaks including Everest, Dhaulagiri, Kanchanjunga and Sishapangma. You can get one of the best views of the highest mountain in the world (Mt. Everest) from the Pikey Peak.
Inhabited by the Sherpa settlements in the best hilltop destination, the Pikey peak trek passes through the Pine forests and Rhododendron blossoms, villages, ancient Buddhist monasteries, Yak Cheese factory, Tibetan Refugee Camp.

Wonderful 11 Days Pikey Peak Trek Detail Itinerary
Early morning at 5am we will pick you up from hotel and directly drive to Bhandar. You will experience both highway and off road drive lasting about 10 hrs. Along the journey enjoy mountain views of Gauri Shankar and others. Lunch will be provided en route. Once in Bhandar, check in hotel and have dinner.
After breakfast we start our trek at 8am. After two and a half hours trek you will reach Chaula Kharka where you will have your lunch. Continue trek to Namkheli for about 2 hrs. The trail today passes through hilly landscape, green valleys and villages of Tamang and Sherpa communities. Dinner at hotel.
Start trek from Namkheli after breakfast. We will carry pack lunch today since there are no tea houses along the trail. It will take at least 5 hrs to reach Ngaur from Namkheli. The trail is crosses through several hills offering you close views of Numbur peak and other mountains. There is a Buddhist stupa in Ngaur which is worth a visit. Dinner at hotel.
The trail from Ngaur to Pikey Base Camp goes through pine and rhododendron forest. Today we will reach Pikey Base Camp which offers great views of Everest range.
Note: If you still have energy and feel fresh, and given the weather is good, you can go to Pikey Peak at 4067m to observe sunset and a panoramic view of highest mountain ranges from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Everest, Kanchenjunga and Shishapangma.
Early morning, we will pack our breakfast and hike to pikey peak summit (4068m) to observe sunrise and a panoramic view of highest mountain ranges from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Everest, Kanchenjunga and Shishapangma. Breakfast will be eaten at the Pikey Peak before trekking down all the way to Jase Bhanjyang (3520m).
Pikey Peak has two distinct summits, Pikey (4065 m) and Pikey Central (4068 m.). Pikey Peak offers magnificent view of six highest peaks in the world including Mt. Everest (8,848 m.), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m.) Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586 m.), Mt. Lhotse (8516 m.), Mt. Cho-Oyu (8210 m.) and also the highest mountain of Tibet Mt. Shishapangma (8013 m.). Other peaks such as Mt. Numbur (Dudhkunda) 6958 m), Mt. Amadablam (6812 m), Mt. Karelung (6530 m), Kongde Peak (6086 m), Mera Peak (6461 m.), Iceland Peak (6189 m.), Mt. Thamserku (6618 m) are also visible.
The trail to Jasman Bhanjyang goes through forests of gold leaf and rhododendron forest. Lunch and dinner are at Jasman Bhanjyang.
Have your breakfast early morning and prepare to trek to Junbesi. The trail first climbs to Palu danda followed by forest path full of rhododendron and pine. In 2 hrs you will reach Taktor a perfect place for today’s lunch. Another hour’s trek will reach us to Junbesi village. The village hosts 7th century Junbesi, apple garden, school and hydropower plant. Dinner at hotel
After breakfast, we leave Junbesi and head for Thupten Choling Gompa (Monastery) and Tibetan Refugee Camp which takes about 2-3 hours. Thupten Choling Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Everest region. Nearby you can visit Tibetan refugee camp, which is settled by 1000 nuns. After spending some time around here we trek toward Beni village and then to Phaplu. Phaplu is a small village which features a STOL airport. Dinner at hotel.
Once we have breakfast, we will get ready to depart for Kathmandu at 6 am. For a few hours initially we will drive through very rough road. Afterwards the ride will be smooth as we touch upon Araniko Highway which takes us all the way to Kathmandu.
Note: If you want to avoid 10 hrs. tiring road journeys back to Kathmandu, you can take 25 minutes scenic flight from Phaplu airport to Kathmandu airport. Do let us know in advance if you prefer flights so we can book the flight accordingly.
